Michael brings decades of experience as a PGA professional, instructor, and club fitter, having served in leadership and teaching roles across California and Oregon. His career includes positions at The Lakes CC and Palm Valley CC in Palm Desert, EastLake CC in Chula Vista, and instruction at the San Diego Golf Academy and Empire Lakes' School of Golf. He has also led golf programs at Red Hill CC, Pacific Athletic Center, and now proudly serves at Tualatin Country Club.
A decorated teacher and club fitter, Michael is an Authorized Instructor of *The Golfing Machine*, a Level I TPI Certified Instructor, and a Certified Explanar Swing Plane Instructor. He was named 2001 Club Fitter of the Year by the Southern California PGA Section, won three Inland Empire PGA Chapter Teacher of the Year awards, and four Club Fitter of the Year honors.
Michael’s teaching philosophy centers on building a swing that fits each student’s natural style, emphasizing sound fundamentals like body alignment and swing plane while focusing on balanced, repeatable motion.

Playing Highlights:
Michael was a standout junior in Oregon, finishing runner-up at the 1976 Oregon Junior Championships and competing on the Hogan Cup Team. He played two seasons at the University of Oregon and has competed in both Southern California and Oregon PGA events, including the 2001 and 2003 Nationwide Tour Inland Empire Open.
